Come February 2016 onwards, folks residing in Ang Mo Kio, Bedok, Clementi, Punggol and Yishun will be able to get to the city faster during the peak hours with the launch of five new City Direct Services.
The Land Transport Authority (LTA) announced that they’ve awarded contracts to private bus operators Tong Tar Transport Service Pte Ltd and BT&TAN Transport Pte Ltd to run the services in the neighbourhoods. Tong Tar will handle the services in Bedok, Clementi/Dover and Yishun West while BT&TAN is in charge of the buses in Ang Mo Kio and Punggol.
The bus schedules will be similar to the other City Direct Services currently operating — three one-way trips on weekday mornings to the CBD and two one-way trips from the city in the evenings. More details about the routes on the LTA website.
