Five men who’ve recently been running a string of motorcycle thefts in the western districts of Singapore have been arrested by the police.
Reports of the thefts were lodged between Aug 11 to 20, where three motorcycles were stolen in Bukit Panjang, Bukit Batok and Clementi housing estates. After extensive investigations by Jurong Division officers, the suspects were arrested over the last two days. Only two of the stolen motorbikes were recovered however, with the third one still astray.
The five plunderers are being charged in court today for the offence of theft of motor vehicle with common intention, which could land them up to seven years in jail and a fine.
