An unrelenting asshole got what he deserved when he was sentenced to jail and a fine for physically abusing his girlfriend and verbally abusing policemen, among other douchebag-esque exploits.
One on occasion back in February, 44-year-old Sri Murugan Subramaniam had confronted his godsister at her home, wielding a chopper and threatening to harm both her and her 16-year-old daughter. Murugan had been angry that his godsister — 34-year-old Milah — had badmouthed him in front of his girlfriend, leading to them breaking up, The Straits Times reports. He hit Milah’s mobile phone as well, cracking its screen.
His assholiness continued on Mar 15, when he accused his girlfriend of embarrassing him in front of his friends during dinner. Murugan punched 31-year-old Radika Rajavarma, before stubbing out a lit cigarette against her right cheek. She needed seven days of medical leave for the injuries.
On Mar 31, Murugan confronted Radika at the void deck of her block, angry that she uploaded a picture of her ex-husband on Facebook. After quarrelling downstairs, she went home and locked the door, refusing to let the angry Murugan in. He then smashed seven flower pots outside the house, which did nothing whatsoever.
Police arrived later on, finding him asleep on a sofa outside a flat one floor below Radika’s. He was arrested after denying smashing the flower pots and verbally abused the questioning police officers, even after he was handcuffed.
In court, he was since slapped with a $4,000 find for mischief and abusing a senior station inspector, and got an eight-month jail sentence for causing hurt to Radika. Told you he got what he deserved.
