In an oddly specific find, insurance company Aviva revealed that 48 percent of car accidents on Friday occur in the hours when folks are on the way home.
The find is particularly peculiar, especially since no other days will you find this happening. On Mondays for example, only 26 percent of accidents happen during the same hours of 5.30 and 8pm.
Of course this can probably be explained by TGIF — folks are rushing back home to make full use of the weekend.
Aviva’s 2015 claims data also revealed that most accidents commonly occur near roads that are undergoing major construction, or at least exposed to construction projects in the area.
