Tenants of an HDB unit in Bukit Panjang woke up on Jun 17 to discover that they had lost their laptops, handphones and some cash — and apparently theirs is not an isolate case.
According to police, the 47-year-old man they arrested a week later in the same neigbourhood’s Jelebu Road, after extensive ground enquiries, is also a suspect in similar reported cases.
The suspect was to be charged today for Housebreaking and Theft by Night, which is punishable with up to 14 years in prison and a fine.
