35yo Bukit Batok housebreaker arrested, to be charged in court tomorrow

Dude, if you don’t want your valuables stolen, you gotta be careful.

On Aug 3, a man reported $200 missing from his Bukit Batok flat — and we’re not surprised why.

The cash had been placed on a table near the window which faces the common corridor, according to the police, who have since arrested a 35-year-old suspect who will be charged in court tomorrow.

Officers from Jurong Division conducted intensive investigations to establish the identity of the suspect and arrested him yesterday at Jelebu Road.

He could face a jail sentence of up to 10 years and a fine under for the offence of Housebreaking and Theft by Day.

In the meantime, do not make it easy for criminals to make you a target. Secure all doors and window grills before retiring to bed or when leaving your home unattended, even for a short while.
