3 motorcycles, 3 cars and 2 cop cars involved in tremendous accident at Jurong East carpark

A total of eight vehicles — including two police cars — were involved in a tremendous bang-up early yesterday morning at a Jurong East carpark, with no clear cause of what exactly transpired.

The carpark of Block 218 at Jurong East Street 21 was a scene of proper chaos around 7.30am on Thursday, with three cars and three motorcycles reportedly sustaining various degrees of damage alongside the two police vehicles. In other words, lots of bent bumpers and shattered windscreens.

A police officer believed to have been the driver of a cop car suffered minor injuries from the accident, and refused to be taken to the hospital.

To get an idea of how severe the collision was, the impact of the accident caused a stationary Toyota Wish MPV to slam into the lift shaft of Block 218, The New Paper reports. Member of Parliament for the Yuhua constituency Grace Fu came out to assure that she stood ready to assist the vehicle owners who suffered damages.

Investigations are still ongoing.
