Guess there’s no question now what the Singapore Police Force’s (SPF) lucky number is, if the concept is to be believed.
On Jan. 21, a 21-hour operation involving members of the Ang Mo Kio Police Division, the Central Narcotics Bureau Supervision “F” Division and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) resulted in the arrest of 21 persons, believed to be involved for drug-related offences and offences under the Common Gaming Houses act.
The team had conducted checks at public entertainment outlets and housing estates in Ang Mo Kio, Hougang, Sembawang, Serangoon, Punggol and Yishun, and had found three public entertainment outlets that breached Licensing Conditions.
One of the 10 arrested for offences under the Common Gaming Houses Act is expected to be charged in court today for operating a common gaming house while five others will be charged for participating in the gaming. Investigations on the remaining four are still ongoing.
If found guilty, the 10 face fines of up to $50,000 and imprisonment up to three years.
