The year’s almost over — that means it’s time to start thinking about long weekends in 2017 and how to fully utilise every single one of them for getaways. If you haven’t started planning, no worries — Jetstar has you covered.
For $2,017 nett, you can get the airline’s Ultimate Long Weekend Flight Package, which includes seven return flights over seven long weekends in 2017. Destinations include top locations in Southeast Asia like Bali and Bangkok, as well as Australia. And seriously, it sounds pretty worth it ’cause the price includes taxes, fees, credit card booking fees and 20kg checked baggage allowance for all flights.
That means you’ll be paying an average of $288 per return flight ticket, which is rather affordable, considering peak holiday periods always equal to peak prices.
Apparently, Jetstar did a survey about travelling during public holiday weekends, and this is what they found.

So to help lessen the stress of planning long weekend getaways, the airline came up with this 2017 package. And these are the destinations and travel dates:
- Hong Kong: April 14-17 (Good Friday weekend)
- Penang: April 29-May 1 (Labour Day weekend)
- Perth: May 10-14 (Vesak Day weekend)
- Bali: June 24-26 (Hari Raya Puasa weekend)
- Bangkok: Aug 9-13 (National Day weekend)
- Ho Chi Minh City: Sept 1-3 (Hari Raya Haji weekend)
- Taipei: Oct 14-17 (Deepavali weekend)
If you were thinking this all sounds too good to be true — well, it sorta is. You’d have to confine yourself to the above travel schedule, which isn’t ideal if you’d like more flexibility. But hey, it’s rather value-for-money if you just wanna get out of the country over every long weekend and have your flights already arranged for you.
On board with the plan? Get your tickets on Dec 6 from 9am.
