Two men will be charged today with raping a woman in Tuas.
The two unidentified men are accused of assaulting a 32-year-old woman found injured and conscious along Pioneer Road in Tuas, where industrial buildings and offices are located, according to the Singapore Police Force.
The 30- and 36-year-old men were arrested within 12 hours after the police were notified Tuesday morning with the help of surveillance cameras.
The unidentified woman sustained injuries to her head and body and was taken to the hospital where she was examined.
Investigators found that the woman did not know the men.
The Criminal Investigation Department, Police Intelligence Department, Public Transport Security Command and the Jurong Police Division are involved.
A rape conviction is punishable by up to 20 years in jail plus a fine or caning.
