Two men involved in dastardly loansharking activities were arrested by the police yesterday, with offences including setting stuff on fire and scrawling graffiti on the walls of HDB blocks along McNair Road.
On the early morning last Sunday, a victim was greeted by a burnt up shoe rack outside her unit. Police were alerted, and they swiftly established the identities of the two suspects the next day.
Two handphones, a can of spray paint, a bottle of lighter fluid, a bicycle lock as well as several marker pens were seized as case exhibits.
If convicted, they’ll face up to five years in jail, a maximum fine of $50,000 and even up to 6 strokes of the cane.
