2 men arrested for allegedly beating up 44-year-old man outside Orchard Towers

A fight took place outside Orchard Towers on Sunday (Apr. 23) evening, sending a bloodied 44-year-old man to hospital after being reportedly beaten up with a 10cm-long spanner. According to The Straits Times, a commotion had occurred at one of the clubs, and the victim was taking a smoke outside when a few men approached him in a rage and started a fight.

The police were alerted around 5.37pm to a case of voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous means at 400 Orchard Road. Still conscious, the 44-year-old man was taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, while two men, aged 29 and 40, were arrested.

Investigations are ongoing.
