17 sent to hospital after two double-decker SBS Transit buses collide in Pasir Ris

Two double-decker SBS Transit buses were involved in an accident in Pasir Ris yesterday, leaving 17 people in Changi General Hospital.

Reportedly, bus service 109 collided into the back of service 81 along Pasir Ris Drive 1 at around 3.40pm. The Singapore Civil Defence Force had to dispatch two ambulance and a support vehicle to the scene, with paramedics treating the injured on the pavement.

A Facebook user who goes by the name of Judy Bakes managed to capture some images of the accident from her flat. What seemed to be black oil was seen leaking out from the buses.

Investigations are ongoing. 

 

Accident between 2 SBS buses out my flat. Was cooking when suddenly head a loud BANG! I looked out of the window and saw this..  Few seems injured..
