Released by the police after a two-hour interrogation in the morning, a teenager returned to his home in Yishun. He was found dead at the foot of his residential block that afternoon.

Police are currently investigating the case of unnatural death following the discovery of his body beneath block 316A along Yishun Avenue 9 on Tuesday.

According to Shin Min Daily News, the 14-year-old boy had been under investigation for allegations over molesting a girl. That Tuesday morning, the boy was pulled out of his school and brought to the police station to assist with investigations into the case.

The boy’s mother had been updated of the status of the investigation at various stages, and was said to have exhibited no signs of distress throughout the inquisition.

After being released into his mother’s custody around 2.50pm that day, he went to his room upon returning home.

A few hours later, at 4.20pm, he was found dead at the foot of the block. Reports are unclear about his death, or if he had jumped from his unit on the 14th floor.
