Vietnamese man falls to his death from 15th-storey hotel room; body found decapitated in a drain

What was meant to be an enjoyable staycation ended in a horrible, gory tragedy for this group of friends.

Early this morning, the body of a Vietnamese man was found in the drain on a fifth-storey sky garden — without his head.

The severed head was later located outside a fourth-storey restaurant.

According to Lianhe Wanbao, 23-year old Nguyen Ngoc Duy is believed to have fallen out of a room on the 15th storey of Hotel Boss before crashing into the railing of the sky garden — splitting his head from his torso.

Fellow Vietnamese Vu Truong An, a 21-year old ITE student, suffered slash wounds on his head and was later taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

Reportedly, Vu hailed for assistance from the hotel staff immediately after Nguyen fell, and the police received the call at approximately 2.30am. Paramedics later pronounced him dead at 3.31am, and his body was taken away a couple of hours later.

Lianhe Wanbao also understood that before the fatal accident happened, Vu and Nguyen had a heated argument, though it was unclear what it was about.

The police have currently classified the case as one of unnatural death.
