You only live once, so run shirtless on Nov 22

We’ve heard of marathons for this cause and that, but this is the first time we’ve encountered a race for — wait for it — a chance to make it to the Singapore Book of Records for the most number of shirtless runners at an event.

The 5km YOLO Run, says race director Brandon Lee, wants “to challenge participants to race shirtless and liberate themselves from their inner insecurities.”

With every shirtless runner, the organiser, X-Change Republic Pte Ltd, will donate a T-shirt to the underprivileged children in developing countries.

YOLO Run 2015 is on Nov 22, 8am-12nn, at Gardens By The Bay. $55, early-bird registration fee (ends Oct 24), $69 normal fee (ends Nov 7); www.yolorun.com.
