It’ll be a white Christmas in sunny Singapore this year after all — indoor snow centre Snow City has revamped its facilities and will be offering a full-on Arctic experience come Dec 29.
When it opened 15 years ago in Jurong East, the 1,500sqm site was a hit with Singaporeans who got to experience real snow in sub-freezing climates and even enjoyed sledding down a three-storey high snow slope.
After a recent revamp, snowfall is now a reality by way of a snow machine that is said to be able to produce fine snow. A frosty -5°C and below is maintained inside the Snow Chamber to keep it as Arctic as possible.
There are also new attractions, including igloos, Inuit clothes (for your cultural appropriation needs), a tree house adventure playground and a whole bevy of programs for children. Details can be found on the Snow City website.
