Block Party: The Pasar Malam Edition

Halloween Horror Nights 6

Oh boy. It’s that time of the year again, when things go bump in the night and everyone scrambles to creepy parties to scare themselves silly. So for all you thrill seekers out there, the doors of USS are open till Halloween — expect two scare zones and five haunted houses, including the likes of Old Changi Hospital, Salem Witch House and Hawker Centre Massacre. Enter at your own risk.

Harry’s ‘That 90s Show’

Harry’s bar is throwing a ’90s-themed party in honour of its 24th anniversary, and everyone’s invited to join in the fun. There’ll be live entertainment by resident bands, cheesy ’90s games such as Dance Dance Revolution and a Giant Beer mug slide, as well as plenty of good bites and drinks (all F&B proceeds go to the Happy People Helping People’s Meal Fund for Box Collectors).

Kings & Queen of Comedy Asia 7

Inject a little laughter into your weekend with this annual comedy festival that stars the likes of Harith Iskandar, Shazia Mirza, Paul Ogata, Kavin Jay and more.

The Survey After Party

For this closing party of ‘Survey: Space, Sharing, Haunting’, you’ll be treated to awesome stuff by visual artists, live acts and DJ sets while you stroll through the space and experience the art.

Wicked The Musical

Watch the cast defy gravity and belt out an array of popular tunes as they welcome you into a fantastical world filled with wizards, witches and two very unlikely friends.

Saturday, Oct 1

Loof New Menu Launch Party

Yes, your fave rooftop bar has crafted a new menu in collaboration with Bjorn Shen of Artichoke and Bird Bird. Tuck into ‘Dude Sin’ dishes like bak chor mee grilled cheese, bacon lollipops and cheeseburger yakitori, as well as Asian-influenced cocktails, as you hang out at the Bishi Bashi machine and take pics at the photo booth.

OFC Social Market

The popular farmers’ market returns for its sixth round with local artisanal produce by vendors like SoapLah, Divine Cookies, Butterknife Folk, Flashjuice, Botanica Culture and lots more. Also look out for activities including yoga sessions, bootcamps and workshops.

Oktoberfest 2016

Celebrate Oktoberfest plus the 18th birthday party of Paulaner Bräuhaus with loads of drinking, dancing and dining.

OXtober Fest

Oxwell & Co’s launch party for OXtober Fest kicks off on Saturday, with $8 craft beers and old school melodies by DJs.

Soulscape Festival 2016

Throw on your yoga gear for a sunset session with Denise Keller, browse through stalls hawking eco-friendly products, nosh on healthy bites and groove to live music at this year’s edition of Soulscape.

Starker Music Carnival

Dance to the tunes of local music acts Charlie Lim, Tay Kewei, LEW and Disco Hue, as well as Mando-pop star Ding Dang, at this all-day festival.
