Singapore Art Book Fair
Stocking up on reading material for the office? Need a coffee table book to keep your living space inspiring? Here’s where you find them all. Books Actually and creative agency Hjgher are working together to bring you five days of awesome, filled with talks, workshops and of course, coveted local and international titles. The Monocle Seasonal Pop-up is also happening now at the uber cool venue — don’t forget to check it out while you’re there.

Whole9Yards Brand Showcase
Dempsey Hill is the perfect weekend escape — it’s troublesome to get to, so it’s just as troublesome to get out of. No matter — there’s lots to do here and starting this weekend, the Whole9Yards’ much anticipated pop-up store will be open, too. Take your pick of the vintage-inspired brand’s latest F/W 2013 releases and spend the rest of the day chilling out at the venue with girlfriends.

Joining the world Small Business Saturday movement that supports local businesses everywhere, Haystakt, a Singapore-based online platform for people to sell cool sh*t they make, is holding its very first sale! Prices are slashed on cool totes you probably will never see elsewhere, gorgeous prints and stationery, and even techie stuff (we wonder if there’s going to be a discount on this Portabee 3D printer kit).

Sneaker freaks, this is the convention for you. The first of its kind in Singapore, Sole Superior SG lets you bring two pairs of your own sneakers to sell or trade, get your artwork on a pair of Nikes and have a go at the skate park wearing trial Adidas shoes, all while listening to electronic music by Fauxe, Weish and DJ Pravin. While you’re there, help the organisers raise money the Children’s Cancer Foundation and participate in the auction (check out that beautiful pair that’s going into the auction above!) supporting relief efforts post Typhoon Haiyan.
