Friday, Feb 23

Chingay Parade: Cultural Fantasy

This year’s Chingay Parade is set to the theme of “Cultural Fantasy”, with multi-ethnic performances, intricately decorated gloats, pyrotechnic and fireworks displays, and a street party to cap it all off.

Until Feb 24; 8pm at F1 Pit Building and Promenade. $28.50-$60.

Ding Dong Disco

Hit up Amoy Street for performances and catchy beats, as well as CNY-inspired bar bites and a cocktail concoction from the restaurant’s new menu launching next month.

9pm-late at Ding Dong. 

Evita

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s iconic musical comes to our shores with the story of Eva Peron, the wife of former Argentine dictator Juan Peron, and her journey from humble roots to her status as “spiritual leader of the nation”.

Until Mar 18; Tue-Fri 8pm, Sat 2pm & 8pm, Sun 1pm & 6pm at Mastercard Theatre at Marina Bay Sands. $55-$185. 

Journeys to Hell: Death and the Afterlife in Haw Par Villa

Add a spine-chilling fear factor to your Fridays with this after-dark guided tour of Haw Par Villa, where you’ll trek through the 10 courts of Hell, come face-to-face with the King of Ghosts, and get a peek at the upcoming Hell’s Museum.

Until Mar 30; every Friday, 6:30pm-8:30pm at Haw Par Villa. Adults $18, children $9.

Shanghai Beats

The CNY long weekend may be over, but that’s not stopping 1-Altitude and Hennessy from joining forces to throw a party at the rooftop bar with tunes by its resident party band and DJs.

6pm-late at 1-Altitude. Before 9pm: $35, includes one drink; after 9pm: $40, includes one drink.

 

Saturday, Feb 24

Beach Brunch Beats

Spend a lazy Saturday by the beach bar/pool deck/beach cabana of FOC Sentosa to the tune of beats by DJs Aldrin and Suren. There’ll be small bites and tapas at the live cooking stations, as well as unlimited glasses of champagne, G&Ts, and Peroni beers making the rounds.

Noon-4pm at FOC Sentosa. $128 for brunch and free flow drinks.

Russell Peters: Deported World Tour

Funnyman Russell Peters returns to Singapore once again with more laugh-till-you-cry jokes and all-new material. Expect to leave the gig with throats sore from the comedian’s witty wisecracks.

8pm at Singapore Indoor Stadium. $108-$228.

 

Sunday, Feb 25

Let’s Give You Something to Taco Bout!

If you’re in the area, swing by for an all-day taco party serving up good grub by chefs from Super Loco, Park Bench Deli, Crackerjack, Artichoke, and more.

Noon-8pm at Crackerjack. 

LOL Stars: Rohan Joshi

Popular Indian comedian Rohan Joshi brings his brand of wit to Singapore this month, with jokes about everything from Indian culture to international politics.

8pm at Stephen Riady Auditorium @ NTUC. $40-$70.

Meatsmith x Lee Ho Fook

To celebrate its third birthday, Meatsmith has invited Victor Liong from Lee Ho Fook in Melbourne to helm the kitchen with the team. Expect American BBQ meats and modern Chinese bites on the menu.

2pm-midnight at Meatsmith. 

Surf N Sweat

Hit the beach for this annual sporting event, featuring an inflatable course, beach games, a pageant show, and other fun stuff under the sun.

7am-5pm at Palawan Beach, Sentosa.
