The opera based on the Brothers Grimm’s tale was created in 1892 by German composer Engelbert Humperdinck — catch this version performed entirely by children and youth.

Check out cool artworks by 70 up-and-coming illustration artists in Band of Doodlers’ first mentorship programme. For this exhibition, they have reinterpreted the seven sins in their own drawing styles. If you’d like to meet the doodlers in person, the opening ceremony is on Aug 26 at 7pm.

In a meaty collaboration between MEATliquor SIN and Decker Barbecue, this weekend brunch includes humongous portions of BBQ meats, boozy drinks, fun surprises and a sure-to-be-messy eating competition to hype things up. Plus beats by DJ Toby Doman.

Organic-Friendly Farmers’ Market
Bring your grocery bags and shop organic at 20 stalls by local farmers and growers, including names like The Seeds Master, Comcorp, Papa’s Grove, Ah Hua Kelong and Pollen Nation.

To celebrate the launch of Koen no Benchi ($15), a yuzu golden ale brewed specially by Hitachino Nest for Park Bench Deli, the sandwich shop goes Japanese for a day. Two new items join the ever-popular chicken katsu ($15) on the menu — tempura-style unagi served in a soft roll with pickles ($12), and tataki-style fish with sansho spice rub and chilli mayo served on Pain de Mie ($12).
