#DontTellMeHowToDress

A project started by supermodel and activist, Cindy Bishop, this exhibition showcases the clothes that were worn by survivors at the time they were sexually violated, to show how such incidences can happen to anyone regardless of their dressing and to tackle the topic of blaming and shaming women who’ve experienced sexual assault.

Aztrek Pop-Up Event

Reebok’s bringing back its shoe design from 1993 with its bright fluorescent colors at this pop-up. But if sneakers aren’t your thing, there are arcade games and Insta-worthy corners to snap pics at.

Fashion Makes A Splash

Head down to meet and greet a live mermaid in a tank situated along Orchard Road or take pictures at the optical illusion see-through ceiling installation.

Harlem Globetrotters 

Known for their well-choreographed moves and slam dunks mixed with comedy, famous basketball team the Harlem Globetrotters will be performing in Singapore as part of their 2019 Fan Powered World Tour.

8pm–10 pm at Singapore Indoor Stadium. $34-$79.

SAM Mini Mobile Museum

With its recent closure to revamp the building, the Singapore Art Museum will be taking a few art pieces by Filipino artist Rodel Tapaya to libraries in neighborhoods such as Tampines, Woodlands, and Jurong.

Until May 12; 10am–9pm at various libraries. Free.

Twilight Tropicana

The Twilight: Flea & Feast market series gets a tropical twist this weekend with bites by the likes of Street Submarine, Oahu Poke, and Satay Ummi, more than 50 local vendors hawking apparel and accessories, and movie screenings of flicks like Finding Dory, Mission: Impossible – Fallout, and Johnny English Strikes Again.

Until April 7; daily 10am-10pm at Halls 401-402, Suntec Convention Centre. Free entry.

World Gourmet Summit

Running on its 23rd year, the theme for 2019 is ‘Sustainability in the Gastronomy World’ and it revolves around the importance of saving the earth without skimping on ingredients and flavors. Learn why it’s essential to cut back on single-use plastic bags and how it’s affecting our environment and the food we consume at the event.

Iyaz

Bump out to Iyaz’s hit singles like “Replay” and “Solo” after a set played by DJ Jade Rasif and enjoy house pours for $5 each at Get Juiced. Party-goers also stand a chance to chat with the singer in person at a meet-and-greet.

Meet the Crafters

Meet local crafters and designers in Singapore and get a chance to learn about journaling, embroidery, wood-working and many other crafts at workshops that will be conducted throughout the day.

Mrs Fortune Teller

Get your fortune told by insurance company Manulife’s Mrs Fortune Teller, who will be “delivering the misfortunes of adulting” through witty readings that will help recipients better understand the importance of planning ahead.

Rewild Our Planet

Connect to nature through Singapore’s first social augmented reality (AR) experience at the ArtScience Museum, where you’ll interact with installations that show how desperately we need to restore and protect our Earth.

Singapore Maritime Week 2019 Exhibition

Part of Singapore Bicentennial, this exhibition brings visitors through Singapore past, present, and future using archival photographs, interactive experiences, and stories.

Actually Affordable Artist Market

Returning for its 3rd edition at Camp Kilo, the market offers affordably-priced artworks going at $300 and below, along with good tunes and BBQ grub.

Le Bon Funk Turns 1

Celebrate Le Bon Funk’s first birthday with dishes by chef Jonathan Tam from Michelin-starred Relæ paired with glasses of wine recommended by head sommelier Josée Yeomans. No reservations are accepted, only walk-ins.
