Friday, April 19

Elegance of Absence

A group of six Chinese artists showcase their work using negative spaces to create the opposite, proving that they are more than just voids. Instead, they’re spaces that create room for mystery.

Pokémon GO Safari Zone

Experience the classic childhood cartoon in real life with a 6m-tall Lapras inflatable at Palawan Beach and snap photos at various photo points stretched out from Sentosa Boardwalk to Tanjong Beach. Pikachu will also be making an appearance in different outfits for a free meet-and-greet daily at various timings.

Until April 22 at Sentosa. Free.

Precious Moments x Care Bears Pop-Up Café

Hosting the world’s first co-branded café, this pop-up features nostalgic characters from Precious Moments and Care Bears, with themed food and drinks such as waffles, burgers, fries, teas, and lattes.

Until June 30; noon–9:30pm (Tues-Thurs, Sun), Noon–10:30pm (Fri & Sat) at Kumoya. Free entry.

Shilin Night Market Singapore

Inspired by the famous night market in Taiwan, this version offers an endless supply of Taiwanese street food with a Singaporean twist, live music by Mandopop artists, street vendors selling artisanal products, and 60 arcade booths such as human claw machines and other carnival games. You can take pictures under the hundreds of lanterns that stretch out across 10,000 sq ft, or check out the free movie screenings after 6pm each day to unwind.

Saturday, April 20

DJ Metro

Part of Bang Bang’s Easter event, Psychedelic Bunny Eggstavaganza – a Playboy Mansion-themed party, DJ Metro from Chicago will be showing off his turntable skills for one night. So put on your Hugh Hefner-style robes and grab a box of chocolate “cigars” to party the night away.

10pm–late at Bang Bang. Free entry.

Easter Champagne Brunch

Enjoy Easter, Italian-style, with comfort food dishes at Zafferano. Served in sharing portions, the menu includes the likes of spinach and ricotta cheese quiche, also known as torta pasqualina, and a must-have on every Italian family’s table at Easter: roast lamb. Children can also look forward to the Easter egg painting with chocolate sauce and nonpareil sprinkles.

Noon–3pm at Zafferano Italian Restaurant & Lounge. $108-$138.

Easter Weekend Cleanup

Spend your Easter afternoon volunteering your time to clean up Pulau Ubin, before you head off for dinner and drinks at the local brewery near Changi Village Jetty for a spot of mingling with other volunteers. Just remember to bring insect repellent and wear long pants.

2pm–5pm at Pulau Ubin. Free.

 

Sunday, April 21

Easter Eggstravaganza

Partner with your kids and partake in flatbread making workshops or hunt for goodies at the Easter egg hunt at Fat Chap’s first Easter event. Kids can look forward to the Easter egg painting activity while chomping down on sweet treats at the cotton candy and popcorn stand. There will also be a spread of Easter-themed dishes inspired by Asian street food and traditional comfort food.

Noon–5pm at Fat Chap. $25 for 4-10 year olds, $35 for 11 year olds and above.

The Great Easter Bonanaza

Dig in to an Easter-inspired buffet brunch with The Marmalade Pantry’s signature dishes such as the Marmalade mac and cheese, spicy crabmeat pasta, pancakes, and more. There will also be a magic show, face painting, and balloon sculpting activities for the kids to try after the dessert table has been wiped out.

Noon-2pm at The Marmalade Pantry Novena. $28 for children, $50 for adults.

The White Rabbit Easter Brunch

Back for its annual Easter brunch with a menu showcasing roasts, seafood, and large selection of desserts, the brunch includes kid-friendly activities like bouncy castles, balloons and candy floss stations as well.
