Friday, Apr 29

Gallery After Hours

The first after-hours party at National Gallery Singapore features music acts like Evanturetime, Linying and .gif from 7pm-9pm. At Gallery & Co, there’ll be French wine and cheese tasting sessions, as well as a block party featuring beats by Julien Brochard and rustic dishes by Cocotte.

6pm-midnight at National Gallery Singapore, 1 St Andrew’s Rd. Free.

J-Obsession

Back for the 7th year, this three-day event pays tribute to the most creative and quirky bits of Japanese culture. There’ll be cosplayers and musicians performing throughout the weekend, bringing you the best of manga, anime and J-pop.

Until May 1; Fri 7pm-9.30pm, Sat 2.30pm-9.30pm, Sun 2pm-9pm at The Cathay, 2 Handy Rd. Free. 

Shakespeare in the Park — Romeo and Juliet

Take in the tragic love story of Romeo and Juliet as you lay on your picnic blanket, surrounded by glittering stars in the sky.

Superstars of Ballet

The top ballet dancers from the likes of Paris Opera Ballet and American Ballet Theatre of New York gather together to perform snippets from renowned French ballets. Part of Voilah! Festival 2016.

Saturday, Apr 30

Farmers & Artisan Market

Held on the last weekend of each month at Bollywood Veggies, this market offers a wide selection of fresh produce (mainly veggie and vegan), herbs, condiments, sauces, jams, bread, cakes, arts and crafts, apparel, jewellery and lots more. Take a breather from city life to check it out.

Until May 1; 10am-3pm at Bollywood Veggies, 100 Neo Tiew Rd. Free.

Pool Party — The Inflatable Edition

Revel in poolside fun at Sentosa, where you’ll be surrounded by flutes of champagne, a BBQ station, supercars and yachts on display, a fashion show, and live entertainment with DJs and a rock ‘n’ roll band.

5pm-midnight at poolside, ONE°15 Marina Club, #01-01, 11 Cove Drive, Sentosa Cove. Non-members $15, includes one drink.

Sunday, May 1

Sentosa Ukulele Festival

It’s all about ukuleles at this festival, which features performances by local and international artistes such as Daniel Ho, Randy Drake, Sungha Jung, Jukuleles and Tay Kewei. Lug your own ukulele along to join in the fun. Plus, tuck into BBQ bites at the Grill N’ Chill area when the hunger pangs come calling.

4.30pm-10pm at Palawan Beach, Sentosa. Free.
