So you love your food so much, you wanna tell the world. Then don these Uniqlo tees loud and proud. In a Southeast Asian corporate collab with household names in the region, the Japanese brand has come up with a collection of men’s and women’s t-shirts inspired by the likes of Pop Mie and Ultra Milk from Indonesia, Mamee Monster from Malaysia, Jollibee and Sarao Motors from the Philippines, and lots more.
Plain Vanilla Bakery, every hipster’s favourite Tiong Bahru hangout, reps Singapore in the series, with three ladies’ tees featuring (what else) cupcakes.
Admittedly, they’re not the coolest of graphic tees, so you’d best only get them if you’re a true blue fan. Unless you wanna wear ’em ironically — then by all means, go ahead. Although you do get free cupcakes if you spend at least $50 at Uniqlo, so there’s that.
The collection of 33 designs launches exclusively at the new Tiong Bahru Plaza Uniqlo outlet on July 1, the same day the store opens. Other outlets will stock the tees from July 4.
