Hamming for the camera, Singaporean wrestler Dante Chen totally killed it in his debut WWE bout the states, and Singapore today can catch his single-round match online.

Singapore’s first WWE wrestler, whose real name is Sean Tan, went from being thrown over Trey Baxter of Tennessee’s shoulders at last night’s NXT 2.0 event to dodging an aerial attack and trashing his rival with an inside cradle maneuver.

“Look at the strength!” proclaim the announcers. “Chen! From an inside cradle to a devastating maneuver … what a debut for Dante Chen!”

Chen was basking in the glory of mini melee-drama today.

“Go for the wins, they lead to championships. 1-0,” the 25-year-old wrestler said on Twitter.

He landed a contract with the long-running wrestling entertainment company in July after standing out among 40 Asian athletes invited to tryouts in Shanghai. WWE recruited him and two others who were from China: Feicheng Wang and Jie Yin.

Viewers were full of praise for the local wrestler.

“Surreal to hear ‘From Singaporeeee,’ all the best Dante Chen hope to see gold around your waist soon,” Lester Lim said.

“I’m Filipino and I’m so happy that a Singaporean made it to WWE because why not? We’re Southeast Asians, so we support each other,” Mark Mandigma said.
