YouTube channel Crate TV may have only been set up recently, but it’s definitely boiled down its hilarious content to an exact science.
Taking inspiration from other parodies that essentially remove music from music videos (leaving only the cold, awkward sound of real life), Crate TV does the same thing for local artistes. Watch this exquisite piece of art that is Nathan Hartono’s ‘Electricity’ music video, in all its squeaky, outré glory — starring none other than Sezairi Sezali himself contributing to the peculiar vocal intonations.
And yes, Sun Ho is a homegrown musician — whether we like it or not — so she’s fair game in Crate TV’s #NOMUSICLAH series. Her horrible music video (Asian stereotypes go off the chain) for her single ‘Mr. Bill’ becomes slightly more bearable at the very least, thanks to guest satirist Inch Chua. Behold!
