WATCH: The mud, music and memorable mayhem of Neon Lights festival 2016

In a year that many have determined to be “shitty”, what we needed in the year-end was something bright, lively and hip — accompanied by copious amounts of booze to warm ourselves up during the rainy season.

Luckily for us all, Neon Lights returned in their sophomore effort to spruce up the end of 2016, and boy oh boy was it a proper doozy. Ruffians and beautiful people flocked to Singapore’s Fort Canning Park late last month to witness two muddy days of peace and music at the music and arts festival that saw the enthusiastic approval of over 15,000 attendees.

Our Coconuts TV team was out and about in the squelchy grounds to document the two-day revelry with the likes of Blood Orange, George Clinton, Foals, Neon Indian and many more. Watch our host Sebastian Perry speak to as many artists and fans as he could, and learn a new term to describe leisurely unwinding: Chill Chill Mango.
