Watch the green ogre take the stage as Shrek The Musical makes its Singapore debut in June

Shrek fans, rejoice. This your chance to see the big, lovable green ogre up close, ’cause Shrek The Musical is coming to Singapore as part of its first ever international tour. Based on the popular DreamWorks Animation film, the story opens in a faraway kingdom, where Shrek rescues Princess Fiona, picks up a Donkey sidekick along the way, and kicks Lord Farquaad’s butt, saving the swamp and all the fairytale creatures in it.

The Stephen Sposito-directed musical features melodies by Jeanine Tesori (Thoroughly Modern Millie), choreography by Chris Bailey, and Tony Award-winning costumes by Tim Hatley (Spamalot).

Here’s a sneak peek at the shenanigans you’ll be watching on stage.

Shrek The Musical is at the Grand Theatre, MasterCard Theatres at Marina Bay Sands from Jun 8-19. $65-$175.

Edit: Somebody pointed out that Shrek is not an “orge”, which was on our original title. We apologize for the mistake — there will only be family-friendly fun at this musical.
