View an exhibition of Singapore’s national monuments as 3D photographs

How would you like to see some of Singapore’s national monuments interpreted as artistic 3D photographs? In Sight — A Monumental 3D Journey displays the work of Italian photographer Alberto Fanelli at the Raffles Hotel Shopping Arcade to present one such exhibition, held in conjunction with this year’s Singapore HeritageFest.

As you stroll through the exhibit, put on the provided anaglyph 3D glasses to view each intricate design up close. The selection ranges from schools and medical institutions to places of worship and former government buildings. Noteworthy ones include the Yueh Hai Ching Temple and its restored roof ornamentations, and the interior of Maghain Aboth Synagogue, which is hardly ever opened to the public, as well as the former St Joseph’s Institution and the former Supreme Court.

To commemorate the festival, the Raffles Walk of Fame tour will be revived for one day. Sign up for one of the 45-minute sessions to get a chance to explore the iconic hotel and follow in the footsteps of names like Michael Jackson and Queen Elizabeth II.

In Sight — A Monumental 3D Journey is on from May 6-20 at the Raffles Hotel Shopping Arcade. Admission is free.
Raffles Walk of Fame is on May 7 at 10am, 2pm or 5pm. Tickets are $20/person, and the amount can be redeemed at the Raffles Gift Shop or any of the hotel’s dining establishments.
