The Upside Down creeps into Universal Studios Singapore for a ‘Stranger Things’ Halloween

Hawkins, Indiana is a fictional town (in case you weren’t aware), but fans of Netflix’s hit series Stranger Things can visit the closest resemblance of the mysterious municipality in Universal Studios Singapore’s famed Halloween Horror Nights this year.

Yeap, the eerie parallel dimension of the Upside Down will be crashing our shores this September, and we’re not referring to Yishun. If you haven’t caught up on the global cultural phenomenon that is Stranger Things, by Eggo, you’ve been missing out. The sci-fi/horror TV series explores the mysterious paranormal happenings in ’80s Hawkins, Indiana — a love letter to the pop culture of the decade influenced by the works of Stephen King and Steven Spielberg — so you know things get real freaky.

Halloween at Universal Studios Singapore has always been pretty nerve-racking, but it seems that they’ve jumped on the Stranger Things bandwagon — and for good reason, considering the huge fan base it holds. According to the Halloween Horror Nights website, the eerie environs of the Upside Down woods, the Hawkins National Laboratory, and the iconic Byers home will be replicated at the theme park.

So strap on your homemade proton packs and oil the gears of your BMX bikes, because there are Demogorgons and Mind Flayers to vanquish this Halloween. Admission tickets and season passes are already up for sale on the website, so grab ‘em while they’re still available.
