This tilt-shift time-lapse video of Singapore is awesome

The photographer best known for his Bathtub series of short films presenting Sydney in miniature Keith Loutit, has produced a time-lapse video that takes the tilt-shift effect to new dimensions.

Titled The Lion City, the video features Singapore’s urban landscape in a breathtaking style that incorporates a series “experimental focus and light transition techniques”, Loutit revealed to planet5D.

He added, “the idea behind the use of the technique is for focus and distance to be something the viewer can experience. It also doubles to communicate the constant heat and humidity that hits you whenever you leave the comfort of air conditioning in Singapore.”

The scenes were shot on his Nikon D3s, D4, as well as his Canon 5D Mark II, supported by the Little Bramper for Canon DSLRs. Post-processing was done in Final Cut Pro and After Effects.
