Ion Orchard is turning eight, and the mall is celebrating with eight months of activities that include an outdoor fashion concert, a Dior pop-up space, and an exhibition on Burberry’s iconic trench coat. But one of its biggest highlights is the month-long garden of lush springtime blooms outside the building’s entrance.
Part of its transformation into a magical ‘Glow Garden’, the space will feature a larger-than-life glow tunnel, water elements and illuminated trees. Basically, it’s gonna be lit — thanks to the hundreds of LED lights studded throughout the flora and fauna.
Continuing in the same vein, there’s a special light room on the third level of the mall, where shoppers can create their own ‘light graffiti’ featuring themselves. Write, draw or illustrate whatever you want and the slow-speed camera shutter will capture it all in glowing light.
