Take a walk down nostalgia lane with screenings of local films from the ’50s to ’70s

Fancy a stroll down memory lane with films from old school Singapore? The golden days of the ’50s to ’70s come back to life at Fade In/Fade Out, where rare, local Teochew, Malay, Mandarin and Cantonese films are screened every weekend at two libraries.

The first one may already be over, but you’ve still got this Sunday’s Twin Charms at Bukit Merah Public Library, next week’s Sultan Mahmood Mangkat Dijulang (The Passing of Sultan Mahmood) at Woodlands Regional Library, and The Merdeka Bridge on the third weekend of November at Bukit Merah Public Library.

Each free screening will be followed by a talk from different industry people, who will offer their perspectives on the films and their restoration process.

Fade In/Fade Out is on every Sunday from now until Nov 20, 2.30pm at various public libraries. Free.
