The Substation to host 2-day horror film festival this week

Halloween gets the local filmic arts treatment this week at The Substation in Nightmare on Armenian Street, featuring 18 short films dedicated to all things horror.

The two-day movie screening marathon is a series of reinterpretation and reimagination of the 18 levels of hell in Chinese Mythology, featuring the works of Dzafirul Haniff, Koo Chia Meng, Mads K. Baekkevold and more exploring the supernatural and the psychological. Live music to accompany the terror and fear comes in the form of experimental Chinese instrumental trio SA(仨).

The nightmare takes place on Armenian Street on Oct. 23 and Oct. 24, with a $5 admission fee. More information available on The Substation’s official website and the Facebook event page
