Street art and live music literally under the bridge in ‘Off The Rails’

Got walls, haz street art.

Two walls and a sheltered space beneath the Commonwealth viaduct structure on 369 Commonwealth Avenue is being turned into an “independent” street art space by the National Arts Council on May 23.

There will be art! And music! Hopefully booze!

The participating street artists are HA-HA from Australia, HA-HA, Drew Funk and Kenji Chai from Malaysia, and our very own Soph O, ANTZ, Ee Shaun, ZERO and WeJungle.

New Stream Brass Band, a local New Orleans-style brass band, will open the event, while DJ Reiki and all-girl local DJ collective Attagirl! try their darndest to get people dancing.

‘Off The Rails’ is on May 23, 4pm-midnight, at Rail Corridor Art Space (369 Commonwealth Ave). Free.
