Unlock the curiosity doors, folks. Netflix Singapore has jumped on the belief that Yishun’s a Siao Lang town as well. WILL!!!

The neighborhood up north already hosts hostile entities such as cat killers, yoghurt berserkers and failed carjackers — so what’s a Demogorgon or two?

If you haven’t been up to date on the global cultural phenomenon that is Netflix’s Stranger Things, by Eggo, you’ve been missing out. The sci-fi TV series explores the mysterious paranormal happenings in ’80s Hawkins, Indiana — a love letter to the pop culture of the decade influenced by the works of Stephen King and Steven Spielberg — so you know things get freaky. Spoiler alert: The secret experiments conducted in that town opened a portal to a parallel dimension called the “Upside Down”, where *ahem* stranger things lurk.

With the second season of the show coming up this Halloween (shit gets real Lovecraftian), Netflix Singapore is getting into the heat of things with its own promos. What better method of intrigue than to frame the notorious town of Yishun as the Upside Down in a short teaser?

So yeah, Netflix now has whole new hit premise on its hands — we suggest a spinoff show focusing on a rag tag bunch of multi-racial local kids cracking the source of Yishun’s outrageous happenings with the help of a psychokinetic botak BMT recruit who loves Arnold’s. You’re welcome, Netflix.
