This could be your shot to live your wildest K-pop dreams.

A top South Korean entertainment company responsible for some of the biggest K-pop acts is reportedly setting up a base in Singapore.

SM Entertainment, the company handling K-pop groups like Girls’ Generation, EXO, NCT, among many others, told CNBC recently that they have plans to expand its multi-million dollar empire to Singapore.

Founder Lee Soo-man told the news outlet last month that they will be setting up its Southeast Asian headquarters and are even considering creating NCT Singapore, an exclusive Singapore subunit named after its 23-member boy band NCT.

Besides idols, the company said they are currently hiring more local talents, including undergraduate or fresh graduate interns. Also, their famous cafes, merchandise stores and pop-up exhibitions are slated to be launched.

Lee declined to reveal how much money will be put into the Singapore expansion.

If words are meant and plans go through, this will be the company’s first outpost.

The company has been inclusive of casting non-Koreans in their K-pop acts from countries like Japan, China and Thailand. They have also been holding auditions worldwide for potential idol-like singers and dancers.

Lee added that they have plans to manage joint ventures in Indonesia, Vietnam and Thailand, and expand outside of Southeast Asia like the Middle East where more subunits will be formed.
