The grand dame of Singapore’s nightclubs, Zouk celebrates her last anniversary on Jiak Kim Street this month (before the big move to Clarke Quay). It’s been 25 years of awesomeness, and this Silver Jubilee party is gonna be just as wicked. The entire Zouk foyer will be transformed with custom hand-drawn motifs inspired by the club’s symbol, the Zouk Eye, with a cool reflective installation at the entrance, and all three dance stages will be shining, shimmering, splendid.
In the party spirit, Zouk will be offering special drink promos throughout the night. At Velvet Underground, get one Velvet Rope and one Patron XO shot with two chocolate cups ($25); at Phuture, a double whammy of Jagerbomb and Limon Bomb ($25) await; and at Zouk, everyone’s favourite duo of Sour Plum shots with Long Island Iced Tea ($25) and vodka ribena jugs ($25) will be up for grabs.
As for the decor, think futuristic projection mapping complemented by CyberJapan dancers in glittering outfits at Zouk, silver origami at Velvet, and floating metallic balloons at Phuture. Resident and guest DJs will be coming out to play, with names like Andrew Chow, Eclipse, KoFlow, ShiGGa Shay, Brendon P, Zushan, Hong and Lincey gracing the decks.
And look out for the random distribution of Zouk’s anniversary-exclusive collectibles in the shape of the Zouk Eye mascot, the sausage and mash cup, and the Zouk warehouse space. Plus, if the hunger pangs come calling (or if you need something to pad your stomach before you down all those shots), head over to the Deli on Wheels sausage cart. Even better if you managed to get your hands on the sausage and mash toy — you’ll be one of the 250 to get a complimentary cup of food.
