Bless the folks running All-American dining concept OverEasy. In a bid to save iconic shopping district Orchard Road from ailing patronage and empty streets, OverEasy is doing a noble duty by offering their lush Truffle Burger for free to all shoppers on Nov 7.
Sink your chompers onto their highly-recommended burgers at no charge — you’ll just have to show off your shopping bags at OverEasy Orchard containing items purchased from Orchard Road on the day itself. Just think about that Swiss cheese, sautéed onions and mushrooms, truffle mayo and that juicy, juicy patty.
“Orchard Road, Singapore’s most famous street and former golden child of the government’s persistent tourism efforts, has recently taken a beating of late with reports of rock-bottom rent rates and empty streets,” they state.
“Here at OverEasy, we like to think that we can do our teeny tiny bit to save Orchard Road by rewarding shoppers on Orchard Road.” And what a reward.
Shoppers are only entitled to one burger each, and you’ll have to dine-in at the restaurant. The offer will only last from 3pm to 5pm, and it’s limited to the first 300 burgers only, so fastest shoppers first. More details on their Facebook event page.
