Now that we’re right smack in peak festive shopping period, there are probably a few of you out there with no clue what to get for your Secret Santa/significant other/work acquaintances. To help you out, new local gifting platform Minigiv has a foolproof, three-step method to ordering gifts — that is, mini ones (just like its name suggests).

First up, select a wrapping paper design for your 8×8 cm box — the 15 prints available come in pleasing pastel shades and include options like flowers, rainbow sprinkles, Christmas trees, diamond rings, and paint brush strokes. Next, pick your gift from a (mostly local) selection of teabags, chocolate bars, dried flower bouquets, candles, jewelry, and plant growing kits.

Finally, upload up to three photos and type in your message to be included in the gift, and then you’re pretty much done. You can even add confetti to your order for a burst of color (and to ensure your recipient will have to pick up the scattered pieces for a good few minutes after opening the box).

Each box costs $12, and you can throw in gifts with price tags that range from $2 to $36. So all in all, it’ll set you back less than $50.

It all sounds rather easy, but since Minigiv is newly launched, it’s rather limited in terms of print designs and gift selection. Meaning to say, if the person you’re buying for isn’t interested in bath bombs, honey, tea tins, or bouquets, well, this probably isn’t for you. Otherwise, the site is easy to navigate, with gift categories for occasions such as birthdays and recipients like BFFs and bridesmaids.
