Oh 2017’s definitely gonna be a banner year for heavy metal. Megadeth — the second of thrash metal’s Big Four icons — is set to play in Singapore just months after their bitter rivals Metallica perform at the Singapore Indoor Stadium next January.
The thrash metal legends, however, won’t be playing in an arena as big — but venue size has never been an obstacle for Megadeth to rock the fuck out. Dave Mustaine and co will be taking their Dystopia World Tour to the Kallang Theatre come May 2 in support of their latest studio album (and their 15th!). Fans should be extra excited for this one, especially since Dystopia is seen as a blistering return for Megadeth’s speedy riffs and violent harmonies of their golden years (Rust In Peace, FTW).
Tickets go on sale from $108 onwards on Wednesday, Dec 21, via Sistic at 9am — stay updated on the Facebook event page. Now if only we can get Slayer and Anthrax to come here as well…
