Malaysian comedian Ronny Chieng is coming to Singapore on Nov. 29 as part of his Tone Issues Tour.

The 33-year-old, US-based comic and co-star of The Daily Show with Trevor Noah will perform stand-up at The Esplanade. Fresh off filming his debut Netflix special in Los Angeles, Chieng is taking his Tone Issues to the United States, Australia, and New Zealand.

He appeared in Crazy Rich Asians last year as Eddie Cheng, the Hong Kong-based cousin of lead character Nick Young.

Chieng’s roots run wide. He was born in Malaysia, is of Chinese ancestry, was raised in Singapore and the United States, and also calls Australia home.

He also co-wrote and starred in his own television comedy series Ronny Chieng: International Student, which was shown on the ABC channel in Australia, where he studied law before turning to comedy.

Tickets cost S$68 to S$98 and can be purchased on the Sistic website.
