One of Singapore’s oldest department stores will become a fully digital platform when the website goes live at 3pm today.

More than 200 lifestyle brands – both homegrown and international – will be progressively added to the website, ranging from beauty to homeware and apparel. The retailer’s comeback was made possible following its acquisition by Canningvale Australia, which is largely known for producing towels in the down under and supplying them to major U.S. retailers like Bloomingdales.

“We are excited to continue the legacy of the 163-year-old retail icon as an online department store focused on a high quality, compelling value curation strategy,” managing director Jordan Prainito said.

Al-Futtaim Group closed all of Robinsons’ physical stores late last year, sending shoppers and vendors in a frenzy. Over 50 regular brands like Hush Puppies and Joan Allen will be available on the website, along with new ones like London beauty brand Modern Apothecary and children’s toys from Germany’s Eitech. Singaporean brands to look out for include local toymaker Mighty Jaxx.

The website also partnered with Grab to allow shopping on a buy-now-pay-later basis.
