Early 2017’s gearing up to be a great time to rock out, but maybe not such a good time for your wallet. Before welcoming Guns N’ Roses to the concrete jungle in their first ever show here in February, headbang your way to the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Jan 22 to catch the biggest metal band in the world themselves: Metallica.
The Singapore Indoor Stadium’s a helluva lot more convenient than the far reaches of Changi Exhibition Centre, the venue they played to 40,000 fans back in 2013. Singapore will be the third stop in Metallica’s Asian leg of their WorldWire Tour 2017, with metalheads in South Korea and Hong Kong getting to see them play first.

Though you can expect to mosh to standard classics like ‘Master of Puppets’, ‘Enter Sandman’ and more (there’d be a riot if otherwise), the heavy metal icons are doing the tour in support of their upcoming 10th studio album Hardwired…To Self-Destruct. Early singles off the record have been (kinda) promising a return to brutal riffs and sharp melodies, but one thing’s for sure — it’s not Lulu.
With that in mind, rejoice ye devotees of The Four Horsemen! Tickets will be on sale this Wednesday, Nov 2 at 10am via Sportshub Tix. If you’re afraid of servers crashing from the overload, you can camp out at the box office at Singapore Indoor Stadium or any SingPost outlets.
