Singaporean photographer Ted Chen does a great job of elevating humble basics into something a little more high fashion for his ‘faux fashion advert’. In a cheeky series of photos he calls ‘SGXY’ — it stands for ‘SG’ and ‘sexy’ — he presents an alternate perspective on the unique quirks that make local culture sexy.
We have to admit, these images sure do give everyday items cool cred — some of our favourites include the ‘dabao’ takeaway clutch, the durian husk handbag, the feather duster tie and the parking coupon fan.
