Put on your walking shoes for a tour of the history and untold stories of Holland Village

Called Singapore’s oldest bohemian enclave, Holland Village is so much more than an expat hangout or the setting of that Channel 8 drama named after it. The area is a charming neighbourhood that has its own secrets and hidden stories.

That’s where OH! Open House comes in. It’s launching three 45-minute walking tours in Holland Village, all with the aim of revealing the area’s history, culture, art and untold tales.

For the Chip Bee Gardens tour, you’ll explore the former colonial estate – from walk-up apartments to a terrace house that’s been transformed into a bizarre museum of curiosities. The Holland Drive HDB tour takes you on a journey with glimpses into domestic life in the neighbourhood, while the Hakka cemetery tour gives you alone time to walk into the unknown and make your own discoveries.

Oh, and each tour also brings you into real houses and hidden spaces that have been spruced up by artists. Sounds intriguing, no?

OH! Holland Village is on every Sat & Sun from Mar 4-19, various timings from 4pm at Holland Village. $25/person for three 45-minute tours.
