Attendees of Laneway Festival Singapore’s first outing at Gardens By The Bay in 2012 would remember that the night took a real psychedelic turn when Australian lads Tame Impala took the stage. ‘Twas mellow vibes all around as Kevin Parker and co. brought their premier ’60s psych crunch to life as the festival drew to a close with the Marina Bay Sands as a backdrop to their narcotic tunes. Totes far out, dude.

Relive those hazy days this April as Secret Sounds Asia announce the return of Tame Impala to our shores in a much-anticipated show — especially because their last record was so good. Since critically acclaimed albums with their 2007 debut Innerspeaker and the 2012 follow-up Lonerism, Tame Impala has been known to be the de facto name that comes to mind in the Neo-psychedelia scene. They carried on their shimmering ebb and flow with last year’s Currents, which won Best Rock Album and Album of the Year in the 2015 ARIA Music Awards.
Get carried away once again when they play The Star Theatre on Apr 21 — ticket sales will be launched on Feb 1 through Sistic with prices ranging from $68 to $148. Stay updated on the official Facebook event page.
