Fans of astronomy, you may know that Jupiter’s closest approach to the Earth falls on April 7 this year. The largest of the major planets in our solar system will appear to be at its brightest and fullest, which makes it the perfect time to get out of the house and keep an eye on the sky.

That’s why the Science Centre is throwing a free outdoor viewing party, complete with two movie screenings (one’s The Lego Movie) and food vendors on site. Just bring your picnic mat and get comfy as you enjoy your unblocked view of the starry night sky.

Picnic Under the Planets is on Apr 7, 7pm-11.30pm at Science Centre Singapore. Free.
