Outdoor movie screening festival Films at the Fort is back

If you’ve always thought that the hallowed ground of Fort Canning Park was best suited for something a little more cultured than sweaty mosh pits, then Films at the Fort is right up your alley.

Returning after a sold-out debut year in 2013, the open-air cinema event will run from Aug. 1 to 10. The broad programme has something for everyone – from the classic Breakfast at Tiffany’s to the cult favourite Point Break, the award-winning documentary Last Train Home and Singapore’s own Ilo Ilo.

A full bar menu of wine, beer and cider will be available and you’re welcome to bring your own picnic gear and food. You can also pre-purchase inflatable cushions ($12.50) and meals from Jones the Grocer and My Private Chef (from $33.50) online.

Early bird tickets are available from $22.25 through Sistic with discounts for students and group bookings of at least five tickets.

Visit the Films at the Fort website for more info.
